Stash, our ambassador Chipmunk, is aptly named for the Chipmunks incredible ability to store their food. Stash was admitted to our hospital as a young orphaned baby who required around the clock care & bottle feedings. Despite our best efforts to raise Stash so that he was fully prepared for release to the wild, Stash did not develop appropriate fear of people & predators. Stash resides at our center as an ambassador and helps us to teach people about his species!
Eastern Chipmunks have pouches in their cheeks where they store food when foraging. Chipmunks can gather over 150 acorns in a day!
Symbolically adopt one or more of our resident animals for yourself or as a gift to someone you love. Adoptions help us to provide professional care for our ambassador animals including veterinary visits, enclosure enhancements, high-quality food and enrichment.
