Wildlife Center of Long Island operates a year-round wildlife rehabilitation hospital which serves 2,200 injured and orphaned wild patients each year from throughout Queens, Nassau and Western Suffolk counties
These volunteers commit to a four-hour shift once weekly where you are required to be on-site at our wildlife hospital to work with our rehabilitation supervisor to provide care to injured and orphaned wildlife. You will get real hands on experience in wildlife rescue & rehabilitation

Wildlife Center of Long Island (Formerly known as Volunteers for Wildlife) is a tax exempt 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization.
