11:00AM - 12:00PM
Glen Cove Public Library
4 Glen Cove Ave. Glen Cove, NY 11542
Jade Diamondback Terrapin

Families with children in grades K-5 will enjoy learning all about local reptiles. Participants can learn all about what makes a reptile, a reptile! What special features and adaptations allow these incredible animals to survive in the wild? What reptile species call Long Island home? In this interactive program, educators will help children answer these questions, plus more, while getting up-close to some extraordinary local species of turtles, terrapins, and a corn snake, Mikey!

Due to high program demand and limited space for children, patrons who register and do not show up two times without cancelling in advance will automatically be placed on the waiting list for future programs. Patrons may cancel using the My Registrations link on the Library calendar, calling Youth Services at 516-676-2130, or emailing us at [email protected].

Program limited to Glen Cove cardholders
